The process
Let’s start with a no-cost 15 minute consult!
We can both ask a few questions, get to know each other, and see if we could be a good fit. Don’t feel like you need this step? No worries, it’s totally optional!
Ok, I’ll be honest — this appointment is a lot of questions — and there is some paperwork — but all for good reason! In this visit, I can learn about what’s bringing you in for services, and also about your life, values, culture, and key background details.* This lets me determine what/if any diagnoses may be appropriate and generate a personalized treatment plan; all of this is done in collaboration with you to ensure we are doing work that feels meaningful to your life.
At the end of our first session, my goal is that you leave feeling empowered and hopeful, with a clear sense of what to expect in follow-up sessions, and at least one skill to start addressing your primary concern.
*It is helpful for caregiver(s) and child or teenager to be present so I can get information from multiple points of view. It is likely I will spend at least some time alone with both parties.
Please note, intake appointments are priced higher than follow-ups due to the extra time spent both in and out of this appointment. $225.
The initial appointment takes about 60 minutes
Therapy Sessions ($200): Average 53 minutes. We will set an agenda in each session to ensure our time is prioritized accordingly. Sessions may include child or teenager + parent, 1:1 with teenager, or parent-only sessions for parents of children. It is rare that I meet 1:1 with youth <10yo, and if child is <12yo, they must have a caregiver accompany them to the appointment. We will regularly check in on our goals, updating as needed, and you will continue taking skills home consistent with those goals.
Length and frequency of follow-up visits depends!
