Hi. I’m McKenna (she/her).
Psychologist.
Compassionate.
Curious.
Evidence-based.
Available for therapy services with children, teenagers, and parents, I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Washington. I have been practicing since 2014, and specialize in evidence based treatments for youth and their parents.
My professional experiences have taken me from Michigan to Pennsylvania to Texas, and finally back home to Washington. I have worked in major hospital systems, served as an assistant and adjunct professor, have held faculty positions in resident training programs, supervised pre- and post-doctoral graduate students, and am a published researcher.
In early 2024, I began itching for a change. I longed for freedom to choose how I served my clients. I also wanted a job that would allow me time to engage in the same values-based behaviors I was encouraging my clients to do. Enter the decision to launch my private practice!
The interventions I use are grounded in science, and are adapted to meet your unique needs. Together, we set goals that are meaningful and relevant to your life. My hope is that through our process, you feel more connected — to the things in your life that give it meaning, and to yourself. You can read more about my approach and expertise here.
Psychologist is, of course, one identity I strongly embrace. So are “baker,” “big-feeler,” “amateur photographer,” “nature-lover,” “game-player,” “swiftie,” and “mom.” I can’t wait to meet you and all the important identities in your life that make you, well — you!
