Frequently asked questions.

Where are you located?

I offer services in-person in West Seattle Tuesdays-Thursdays. Telehealth services are also available.

What do I need for telehealth services?

A secure internet connection. A safe space to talk. To be in the state of Washington. To be in a stable location (i.e., not in a moving vehicle, on a ferry, etc.)

What informs your approach to treatment?

I am a compassionate provider who uses evidence-based practices — learn about my approach, or more about me and my training!

How long are sessions?

~50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends! We will talk about this as we work collaboratively to create a treatment plan based on your unique needs.

How much do services cost?

Generally, around $200. Check out sessions & pricing for details!

Are you in-network with any insurance companies?

I am not. However, many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefit — contact your insurer to learn more about this option.

Why don’t you bill insurance?

Several reasons. a) It allows me to spend my time focused your care. b) It means I am not bound by insurance checkboxes when I make decisions about what the best care is for you and your child.

Why “Lit Within Northwest Therapy”?

I wanted a name that captures the unique power that each individual holds. To think about how we can identify and connect with the things that energize and revitalize us. What are the things in our lives that set our souls on fire, that make us feel alive? That’s what I wanted this name to evoke, because it’s also what guides my practice. (P.S. if you’re a TS lover — can you find the connection?)

What are you like as a person?

I appreciate that trying to determine if someone might be a good fit from an online profile is a challenge. Fit between therapist and client is a strong predictor of how successful services will be, so making sure you find someone you’re comfortable with is definitely important!

  • My friends would describe me as compassionate, accepting, curious, silly, and maybe a little cliché at times

  • I love cats, the views from Constellation Park, and coffee

  • In therapy, I balance compassion and warmth (you have enough of a negative voice in your own head) with being authentic and embracing difficult conversations (I value direct feedback — in spaces that are safe to have those conversations!)

  • Get to know me better here!

How do I pronounce your last name?

CO-suh-till-ee
